The VAMP (ValvACT Actuator Mounted Power) system is an actuator mounted hydraulic power pack designed for quarter-turn actuators. It can be supplied with Eckart HyRAV SG hydraulic actuators for reliable performance with both dual-acting and spring-return, fail-safe options. Additionally, VAMP can be applied to similarly styled hydraulic actuators from other manufacturers.
The VAMP system operates the actuators using a hydraulic pump that can be driven off 24V DC, single-phase AC, or three-phase AC power sources in addition to pneumatic pressure as low as 60 psi.
The VAMP system is well suited for austere hazardous locations due to its low voltage DC power,
hydraulic load holding, and fail-safe capability. To facilitate these isolated applications, users may wish to
integrate solar panel packages that remove the need for generators or grid power for reliable valve
control. Additionally, VAMP can be operated using an integrated hand pump or by attaching an external
pump to the quick-disconnect ports in the event of power loss.

- VAMP can be controlled remotely using Open/Close and Run/Stop signals or by transmitting a position set point which the actuator will move the valve toward and hold.
- Capable of restoring commanded position in the event of power or pressure loss.
- Integrated controller continuously monitors system operation with alarms for:
– Position sensor signal rationality.
– Excessive position error (valve position is too far from set point).
– Maximum and minimum stroke time.
– Motor protection duty cycle.
– Motor or motor controller over-temperature fault.
– Loss of position command signal.
– Local control override.
